Annual Conference -2022

APSOCON 2022 was conducted at PGIMER on the 10th and 11th of September 2022.

The meeting was attended by 108 (registered delegates) and about 30 faculty members. There were a total of 35 residents who actively participated in the meeting. International faculty from Spain, Japan, and the UK along with delegates from Oman, the UK, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attended the conference.

There were two online lectures and the rest were physical lectures. Deliberations were done on Renal tumors including nephron-sparing surgery. Liver tumors and their management along with options of Transplant and extended resections were discussed. Prof Eiso Hiyama from Hiroshima university talked about the ICG navigation systems. Other highlights of the conference were the talks on "Digital Learning in Pediatric Surgery", "Breaking bad news", and an interesting pop-up talk discussing "despair amongst surgeons".

A PG quiz was another highlight where the winners walked away with a cash prize along with medals for free paper sessions

The annual meeting was held at Kolkata at Apollo Glaneagles on 24th November on D minus 1 of PHOCON 2017.Meeting was attended by 32 delegates.

2018

SOSCON-1st independent conference (previously was part of PHOCON) was held on 21-23rd September 2018 at the Heritage Village Club, Goa

2019

SOSCON – Annual Conference of Surgical Oncology Section of IAPS, was held on 21-22 December 2019 at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai

Past Events

During the Covid pandemic, the association took the opportunity to use the online platform for conducting academic events for our trainees and consultants and the "APSO Webinar series" took shape. The first webinar was organized on the 26th of March, 2021. Subsequently, world-renowned experts have been invited to lecture on this platform which has witnessed broad participation and fruitful discussions.
